my best friend's wedding

A delicate and elegant space was what Araceli y María from Arte de Marte wanted for the showroom celebrated at Rental Mode Barcelona so they filled the space with greenery, the most beautiful balloons from pluiedeconfettis and they picked pretty vintage Moroccan wedding blankets to make sure the guests were wowed once they came in. They served delicious cookies, pastries, fresh fruit and juices so that the ladies could enjoy a moment of pleasure while trying on beautiful dresses and hats. This event thrilled my heart and I hope the pics taken by Marta could show you the love and the emotions poured from eveyone into this event. It was so emotional working and creating together, women with the same purpose....

four years later I go back to that tiny atelier

I never thought that all those treasures that I collected on each trip someday would be part of the curated and passionate world of Azul Bereber. I found the first pieces in a small workshop of a cabinet maker escaping the heat of summer wandering the medina alleys. There I found a tiny atelier that produced wonderful objects. It was the year 2013. Four years later, after many miles traveled, many glasses of mint tea and my heart full of hope I go back to that tiny workshop. In one week I will be creating a limited edition of homewares: pottery from the Sahara desert, wood goods and recycled glass. The new collection will be released soon. Sign up for...

our first bohemian wedding

Inspired by Morocco’s bohemian vibes and the Mediterranean’s effortless beauty, Carmen and Fran featured on their wedding day an array of exotic textures and natural accents. Pilar Martínez, the wedding planner, and the couple spent several months looking for inspiration and I think that they found the perfect heady mix of exotic bohemian style and beautiful Moroccan chic! The couple incorporated our berber rugs and floor cushions made of vintage moroccan textiles to reflect their love for bohemian inspired details. I am blown away with the gorgeousness of Carlos Martin photographic documentation of the wedding day. Thanks for capturing the magic! If you’re looking to plan your boho wedding with an intoxicating twist, I think the moroccan chic vibe could be...

Wandering through the labyrinthic streets in the medina of Marrakech

In last few years wandering through the labyrinthic streets in the medina of Marrakech I met few makers whose work I deeply admire. Every single piece they make is unique and handmade with patience and intention, every single imperfection in their pieces is due to be celebrated. Moroccan pompom blankets have always catched my eyes. While I was enjoying of the touch of a beautiful blanket  hanged on a door a man with a gente smile appeared behind that door. When I met this man I didn’t undernstand how those moroccan blankets were made but he lovingly took me into his atelier to show me how he created them. The atelier was located in one of the most ancient buildings...
