Morocco waited for me 30 long years

Morocco waited for me 30 long years and finally this magical country welcomed me in 2013.

After years working as engineer, I realised that it was not a road I wanted to continue on. There was something else calling my attention. Morocco had deeply touched my soul.

In 2017, I left my stable job for which I had studied and started teaching myself design, photography and story telling.

Later, I worked with stylists, artisans and artists I really admire. In last few years I met few makers and artisans whose work is simply fascinating. We work together, designing exclusive pieces that meet their and mine aesthetic. Every single piece is one of a kind, handmade with soul with imperfections that are due to be celebrated.

Morocco is a vast and endless source of inspiration. It is deeply exciting to dive into its culture and explore their creative vision to the fullest. The quality of artisan work in Morocco is impressive.

The ancient tradition of weaving and soulful artisan hands has enabled me to see my designs come to life. I work directly on the ground with berber cooperatives and independent artisans who weave one of a kind designs with berber rugs and vintage textiles I source and hand pick in local markets and workshops. Azul Bereber offers timeless handmade pieces to last a lifetime. We want our textiles and objetcs to become a meaningful part of your home. By acquiring our pieces you are not only creating a curated and soulful space, but you also enabling artisans to preserve their heritage and artisan traditions while becoming more independent artists, makers and mothers.

Today, I live between Morocco and Spain fully enjoying what I do everyday.
