THE STORY BEHIND Berber rugs cover the floor and adorn the walls of the ancient atelier. Beni Ouarain, Azilal, vintage moroccan wedding blankets and Beni Mguild wait patiently for their story to be told. Mohamed is making tea following the ritual and Mustapha tells me stories from the desert, of nomadic lives and berber tribes. And there on seated on berber rugs, barefoot and with a steaming cup of sweet mint tea on my hands was how it all started. A new life that opened its doors without hardly realizing it.
